First Show in Shawville
We did our first non-school snake show in Shawville today for a day camp. The kids were really well behaved and more or less quiet -- for kids. We took 10 snakes of various sizes and species ranging from garter snakes to "Snuggles" the boa constrictor.
The talking part of the show took about half an hour; we then let the kids who wanted, to come up and touch the critters. The organizer of the day camp liked the show and said that the kids seemed to get a lot out of it. Not too bad for an hour's work! They even gave us a "thank you" card for coming.
