Edible Cell Project

Some of the kids in my Biology class were having trouble visualizing the cell and it's component parts. To help them, I gave them this little project: to build a cell entirely out of edible materials, label the parts, and to compare the cell components to the organization of a larger facility such as a school or company; nucleus = CEO of a company for example. I think they had a lot of fun building and eating some of the creations! Other cells can be found here.
